  1. I had this same problem last week! Initially I was connecting to AKS via the Azure-hosted Azure CLI, however every attempt to copy the contents of the kubectl config file to the kubernetes endpoint in VSTS failed with the parsing error. I might still have the problem except I got tired of the Azure-hosted CLI timing out on me so I switched to Azure CLI (latest version) running on my desktop (Win 10). As luck would have it copying the contents of the config file over from this version of the CLI (the config file being generated by the az aks get-credentials –resource-group myResourceGroup –name myK8sCluster command which results in %userprofile%/.kube/config being created) worked without error. Whew!
